I love this cup. I was looking back at some old posts yesterday and realized I used to write more about what I was learning. This is my third painting of plums this week and I realized with this one that 1. there are more darks than I thought, and 2. the highlights are less saturated than I thought. My heart goes out to them all in a big way. At this point they're pretty tired of oranges. I started playing around with them in my shadowbox and very quickly this silly face emerged. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it before dark, so I'll replace this photo I took in my studio, tomorrow. WORKSHOP: I am doing another advanced workshop this year, in Dickinson, TX, November 5-9. Dickinson is near Galveston, and the place is a retreat with rooms and food and all kinds of fun stuff!
