I've been thinking a lot about perfection lately. I heard a saying a long time ago, and repeat it to myself regularly: "Perfect is the enemy of good enough." This is especially true for painting. If you shoot for perfection in any of it, you will never be happy. It's all a gooshy mess. The idea is that when you step back and squint at it, the gooshy mess reads like glass somehow. | |
