I'm so glad I got a bunch of these photos last spring when the roses were blooming! It is a lovely thing to paint in the winter. When I was done painting I played around a little with the rubber tipped tool I use for signing, scratching away bits here and there. CAROL MARINE'S PAINTING A DAY     12/28/13 Cut Up Into Bits - 6x6in. click here to bid I hesitate to recommend movies, because inevitably someone sees it and thinks I'm crazy for liking it. But I am going to go out on a limb here, because it got pretty so-so reviews and you might not give it a chance otherwise. And I won't go on and on and build it up too much. Just to say - give "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" a chance. It was very blockbusterhollywood, but it was beautiful too, IMHO. It's nice to have a small reprieve before the resolutions of the new year come and I have to run 15 miles every day the whole year to work it off. Until then, pass the fudge, please. These pears were tough. I painted them three times before they looked presentable.
