Bob takes a walk every day with his dog, Anchor. Anchor is old and slow and that works well for Bob, especially going up and down the steps. It reminds me of the time she and I were having a picnic at Schoodic Point in Maine. Every time we wandered away from our food to take pictures, a very eager seagull would try to eat our food and we would have to chase it away. I took the photo for this back in Oregon, right after I painted Mary's garden. I didn't mention it at the time, but while I painted, this lady above, and all her hen friends, were making tons of noises, some quite funny. We had chickens when I was growing up, so I was familiar with them, but they still made me laugh. Are they talking to each other? Are they commenting on each bug they find to eat? Carol Marine's Painting a Day - "The Red Bucket"

CAROL MARINE'S PAINTING A DAY   6/18/14  "The Red Bucket" - 6x6in - click here to bid This was a little moment in front of a cafe in NYC. What is the purpose of the red bucket? I have no clue, but it looks good there.     I am still painting away in Germany, but have wiped off half my landscapes so far. Plein air is HARD! This morning, after a particularly terrible attempt, I had to sit down and cry a little before I could go on.
